If you love the Honda Civic but prefer more cargo space, check out the 2024 Honda Civic Hatchback. The Civic Hatchback offers 24.5 cubic feet of space, compared to 14.8 cubic feet in the sedan. It comes in four trim levels: LX, Sport, EX-L, and Sport Touring. Let’s break down the trims and help you find the perfect fit.

A Honda Civic Hatchback.

LX

The base LX grade is equipped with a 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine and a CVT. This powertrain makes 158 horsepower and 138 lb-ft of torque and averages 33 miles to the gallon (30 city/38 highway). The LX features 16-inch alloy wheels and LED headlights. Honda Sensing comes as standard equipment.

Inside, there’s a 7-inch touchscreen display with a ton of connectivity options. You get Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and Bluetooth audio streaming. The system has quality sound thanks to the standard four-speaker stereo. You also have cloth seats, automatic climate control, and a 7-inch digital instrument panel.

Sport

The Sport model is perfect for stick-shift fans. It pairs the base 2.0L engine with a 6-speed manual transmission. It upgrades to 18-inch wheels and adds Honda’s smart entry system with walk-away auto lock. Sport pedals, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, and sport combination seats amp up the sporty vibe.

Audio also gets a boost with an 8-speaker sound system. There’s an optional CVT that comes with dual-mode paddle shifters to hold and control the gears. The CVT also gets remote engine start and a 3-mode drive system with ECON, Normal, and Sport modes. Traffic jam assist is added to the standard suite of safety features.

EX-L

Moving up to the EX-L will get you a 1.5-liter turbo-four engine with a higher output of 180 horsepower and 177 lb-ft of torque. It’s mated with a CVT and has a fuel economy rating of 35 mpg combined (31 city/39 highway). This grade comes with 17-inch wheels and a power moonroof. A blind spot information system is added to help you switch lanes safely.

The EX-L spoils you with comforts like heated front seats, dual-zone automatic climate control, and leather-trimmed seats. The driver’s seat has 8-way power adjustment, so you can easily find your perfect driving position. There’s now a rear center armrest and a seatback pocket on the passenger’s side for you to stash small items.

Sport Touring

The Sport Touring pairs the 1.5L turbo engine with a 6-speed manual transmission. There’s an optional CVT with three drive modes and dual-mode paddle shifters. Exterior upgrades include 18-inch alloys, fog lights, rain-sensing windshield wipers, and parking sensors.
