The EX-L and higher trim levels include heated side mirrors with turn signals and memory settings and an acoustic windshield. With the TrailSport, you'll get a trailer hitch and underbody skid plates. The Elite has rain-sensing windshield wipers, and there's a panoramic power moonroof with the TrailSport, Touring, and Elite.
Engine (Power)
The V-6 engine produces 285 horsepower and 262 pound-feet of torque, and the 10-speed automatic transmission comes with paddle shifters for the steering wheel.
Performance
The 2023 Honda Pilot is responsive and fun to drive. The motor stops when you pause in traffic to save fuel by preventing idling, and it starts again when you press the accelerator. A variable cylinder management system helps conserve gas as well. Power steering, active noise cancelation, and an independent suspension give you a smooth, comfortable ride. You can choose ECON, normal, snow, sport, or tow driving modes. Vehicles with all-wheel drive also come with trail and sand modes.
Interior
The attractive interior comes with a variety of advanced features, including push-button start, air vents for the rear seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and tri-zone automatic climate control with a cabin air filter and humidity control. Folding rear seats, a 10-way power driver's seat with lumbar settings, heated front seats, and a 7-inch driver information screen are standard as well. The Pilot also has Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility, a seven-speaker 225-watt audio system with a subwoofer, and speed-sensitive volume control.
With the EX-L and higher trims, you'll also get a universal garage door opener, an auto-dimming rearview mirror, a 9-inch touch-screen, SiriusXM satellite radio, wireless charging, a CabinTalk PA system, and a compass. The Touring and Elite have ambient lighting, and the Elite includes a 4-inch head-up display and a 10.2-inch digital instrument cluster.
Safety Features
The 2023 Pilot comes with forward collision warning, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian detection, hill start assistance, hill descent control, lane departure warning, road departure mitigation with steering assistance, and lane-keeping assistance. Other standard safety features include adaptive cruise control, driver attention monitoring, stability assistance, traction control, and braking assistance. Rear cross-traffic alert, a multi-angle rearview camera with a washer, and blind-spot monitoring with indicators in the side mirrors are standard as well.
