Honda Civic MPG Ratings by Trim Level

Review the fuel economy ratings for each of the available Honda Civic trim levels to find the one that best suits your Yonkers-area commute:

  • Civic LX MPG: EPA-estimated 25 mpg city/36 mpg highway* rating
  • Civic Sport MPG: EPA-estimated 25 mpg city/36 mpg highway* rating
  • Civic EX MPG: EPA-estimated 32 mpg city/42 mpg highway* rating
  • Civic EX-L MPG: EPA-estimated 32 mpg city/42 mpg highway* rating
  • Civic Touring MPG: EPA-estimated 30 mpg city/38 mpg highway* rating

The Honda Civic LX and Sport models come with a standard 6-speed manual transmission, but each can be upgraded to a continuously variable transmission (CVT). The CVT helps to boost fuel economy to an EPA-estimated 30 mpg city/38 mpg city* rating for the LX and up to 29 mpg city/37 mpg highway* for the Sport. The EX, EX-L, and Touring models all come standard with the CVT.

Two Honda Civic Engines, Each with Eco Assist System

The 2019 Honda Civic Sedan can be equipped with either a 2.0L 4-cylinder or a 1.5L turbo 4-cylinder engine. With the base 2.0L engine, the Honda Civic generates 158 hp and 138 lb-ft of torque. The turbo engine increases output to 174 hp and 162- to 167 lb-ft of torque. Both engines come with the Eco Assist System, which helps Yonkers drivers conserve fuel in two ways:

  • First, the system tells you how fuel-efficient your driving habits are via a color-changing display around the speedometer. If the display is green, your driving habits are efficient; if it’s blue, you’re most likely wasting fuel.
  • Second, the Eco Assist System can be had with an available ECON button, which you can push to change the Civic’s performance profile to favor fuel conservation.
